Irene – I loved the picture of the deer outside your window. It’s nearly identical to what I see from my living room, except we don’t have the stream.

Wow, you are busy. I’m trying to “get with the program” because I too seem to get caught up in life. I received my package. Sue

Hello Irene,
I have read most of your books and have heard you speak to our school children so I feel as if I know you. (Maybe because I met you at a book signing for ACAL!)
I, too, have read “Night” for a college class. Moving. Have you read “the Boy in the Stripped Pajamas?” Also memorable.
I need to ask you a favor. Would it be possible for you to speak to our book club at the Town of Lewis Library? I am starting an adult history book club to encourage older adults to read local history books. Tomorrow is our first meeting and we will hear Donna O’Donnell speak about her husbands grandfather, Thomas O’Donnell. I am looking forward to it especially since the family lives right here in West Leyden.
Our next meeting will be the second Sunday in December, 2-4PM. I thought it would be a great time to introduce your books here so that the adults could purchase signed copies of your books as Christmas gifts.
I would love to hear from you.
Sincerely, Dona Beyel
Town of Lewis Library, Director

Irene, it was such a treat to hear all of you speak this morning in Watertown. As my daughter said on the way home, “I could hang out with authors all day.”
Thank you sincerely for fitting a visit to our library into your busy schedule. I am hoping to get some new readers turned on to your books. See you on December 13. Our library is right across from the WL Elementary school but since you’ve been there before I think you probably remember how to find us.
Happy Halloween! Dona
